From the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol
