The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The influential game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday morning, according to.

"This represents a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
