The Incident

He was omitted from a European match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.

Team Unity

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.

He also noted that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Positive Results

Their results have been impressive in the period after the situation. Jones believes the outburst were not designed to destabilise the squad.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, getting results and on a positive run.”
