It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defensive side and Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the composed, disciplined, balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this year

The Dolphins have demonstrated a bit of everything this year so the jury's out on whether this is the start of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay in week 11 as the New England are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the American Football Conference East

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different eight and two teams in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and the Colts actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their total 24 wins achieved against teams with a positive record - and one example was the Colts beating the Broncos

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Chargers (who might also compete for top seed but encounter the same problem) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to face. There's a long way to go but the door is open for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference

Two teams with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Rams, who both scored forty points to go to 7-2 before next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in LA

Both could easily be without a loss as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning field goal with the last kick blocked and returned by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely among the best sides in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season to date
